Daily Ag Direction 3/12/25

Overnight trade saw a selloff led by corn on talks of EU imposing 25% import tariffs on US Ag products. Yesterday's WASDE report was uneventual as anticipated, and wheat has some support from warm/dry forecasts for the US southern plains, but the combination of tariff anxiety plus easing of production concerns in South America has corn and beans slipping lower. Beans continue to suffer under the weight of surplus US and world supplies, and could really benefit from some friendly acreage numbers from the report due out later this month.

May corn is -6.5 at 4.63

Dec corn is -5 at 4.49

May beans are -9 at 10.02

Nov beans are -7.5 at 10.08

May KC wheat is +1 at 5.73

July KC wheat is +2 at 5.88

May Chi wheat is +1 at 5.58

July Chi wheat is +1 at 5.73

March Feeders are +1.900 at 279.400

April live cattle are +1.400 at 200.950
