USDA Plantings & Stocks breakdown

USDA March Prospective Plantings & Grain Stocks

Export inspections today @ 10 am did little to budge the market before the USDA Prospective Plantings released. Exports showed corn above & wheat/soybeans within the average trade guesses.

Market is moving wheat higher with less stocks & acres than the average guess. USDA is calling winter wheat plantings at 33.3 m acres vs. traders guess at 33.9 m acres.  Old crop corn is higher with stocks lower than guessed, while new crop contracts has been bouncing on both sides of flat. Soybean stocks are up & trading lower. Live & fat cattle, cotton all lower.
