Daily Ag Direction 4/8/25

Good Morning!

The wheat market continues to see a bid under it as weather remains the feature. Weather maps this morning keep most of the EU dry, Ukraine and Western Russia dry, while Kansas could see some moisture this weekend. Winter wheat ratings saw OK at 42% G/E vs 33% last week and KS 51% G/E vs 49% last week.

The corn market is slightly up this morning after handling the tariff news fairly well. Markets will shift towards trading spring weather and actual acreage numbers now that planting season is here. First national corn planting progress number came in at 2% which is in line with the average pace. Forecasts call for warmer temperatures and drier weather which will speed up planting pace.
